Army Picks 170 for Potential $8.3B CBRN R&D Contract


The U.S. Army has awarded 170 companies positions on a potential 10-year, $8.27 billion contract to help the service research and develop chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense systems.

The hybrid contract also covers R&D work on high-yield explosive defense platforms, equipment, material, supplies and other technology for the Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production and Procurement program, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
