Arizona: A rail bridge partially collapses after fire breaks out


A rail bridge in Arizona, USA, has partially collapsed after a freight train derailed and caught fire

The local fire brigade in Tempe Town confirmed that nobody was injured. A section on the south side of the Salt River Union Pacific Bridge collapsed, sending rail cars into an empty park below.

It is believed that the freight train derailed and caught fire before the partial collapse, however the cause of collapse and exact sequence of events is currently unclear.
