Strong cooperation and collaboration among aviation industry players are needed in order to combat terrorism and securing public safety, said Director of Aviation Security, UK Civil Aviation Authority, Peter Drissel.
He said industry players including security experts had to run to keep up with the challenges, technology and threats that kept emerging all the time.
“We should never think that we have done enough. And don’t be too complacent. We have to be aware that everyday somebody, some bad guy is going to cause trouble, harm you and the public,” he told Bernama on the sidelines of the Public Venue Security and Counter-Terrorism Summit today.
The retired Royal Air Force officer pointed out that collaboration and cooperation among industry players were pivotal in ensuring aviation safety.
