From active shooters to IEDs, Pensacola Naval Air Station training ensures readiness

As part of an exercise, an armed man refused to negotiate with police, stabbed a woman and then shot people inside a Pensacola Naval Air Station building on Wednesday.

The mock active shooter and hostage scenario was part of anti-terrorism exercises taking place at Navy bases nationwide through early February during Exercise Solid Curtain-Citadel Shield.
