Luxembourg Airport and University test new security system


A future without random passenger checks and long queues at Luxembourg Airport. That’s what the University of Luxembourg has been investigating with the development of what they are calling “Flysec” system.

The university announced on Tuesday that the Interdisciplinary Center for Security, Reliability and Trust (SNT), together with Luxembourg Airport, has been testing a high-tech airport security system in practice known as the “Flysec” system.

The project “Optimising time-to-FLY and enhancing airport SECurity” (Flysec) is funded by the European Commission through the research programme “Horizon 2020” at a cost of €4.14 million.
